About this book
The second Daniel Thorsen novel. It begins a few days after the end of The Long Way Back.
Thorsen is driving east out of Los Angeles in Ray Okafor’s van with nowhere in particular to go when an old man calls the LAPD looking for him. It is his uncle Arne, whom he has not seen since the summer he was eleven, when his parents packed the car in the middle of the night and drove away from the family place on the North Shore of Lake Superior and never went back.
Arne’s son Nils is in the county jail, charged with killing a man on the rocks below the Point. Arne wants Thorsen to come and look at it.
His father asks him not to go.
